On January 24th, our own Oak Lawn Special Recreation basketball teams came together to “Pack the House” at Richards High School.
This is a Fundraiser for Oak Lawn Park District to help pay for the basketball teams uniforms and tournaments.
This is an annual fundraiser and fun tournament for our kids to show their basketball talent and get our Cheerleaders out to cheer for our teams.
Every year they offer excitement, food, split the pot, and other raffles.
This year after all the games were over the athletes and their families were able to go to the Stoney Creek Golf Course for an after party with a DJ and food catered from Barraco’s. the food was so graciously donated by our Oak Lawn Parks Foundation.
Pictured is Steve Loulousis, President of the Oak Lawn Parks Foundation, and Lisa Boland, President of the Oak Lawn Park Board. Steve is presenting Lisa with two checks, one for $500 for the Junior Golf Event, and one for $10,000.
The $10,000 donation is designated to go towards three projects: Replacement of the carpet at the mini golf course, Installation of a new sound system at Stony Creek Golf Course, and Replacement of the golf simulator computers at Stony Creek Golf Course.
The Oak Lawn Parks Foundation raises these funds primarily through various events including the annual Golf Outing and their first ever Trivia Night. Please consider supporting these events:
Trivia Night - On March 26th, the Oak Lawn Parks Foundation will host its First Trivia Night.
Golf Outing - The 2022 golf outing will take place on September 10th at Stony Creek Golf Course.
